Making Room for Growth
“On Thursdays we Hike!”
There’s a popular hike here in Palm Desert called the “The Cross Trail”.
We love this particular hike!
It’s challenging, has beautiful views, and when you get to the top of the hill there’s a giant cross (hence the name)… Best of all, it’s dog friendly! Our fur babies LIVE for The Cross hike.
This last year we challenged ourselves to take the pups and do this hike at least one day a week. And we did!
We cleared our schedules and every Thursday made it a priority to take this time for ourselves (and 3 dogs).
What we got out of these hikes was more then we expected.
I can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard God speak during the physical challenge of an up hill climb to the cross.
At the top you get to catch your breath while enjoying incredible 360 views of the entire Coachella Valley! It’s beautiful and if you have never done the hike to The Cross, you should!

Sometimes our ideas or mindsets need a little refining. That’s why accountability is so important. Accountability looks like this; giving someone you trust the permission to speak into your life.

Starting a business is a collision of ideas and strategy combined with the time and effort it takes to make those ideas come to life.
Sum it all up by saying, it’s A LOT. It takes lot of brain power and a lot of hard work.
This hike was a place of refinement for both of us. Not just in the physical sense, because it’s a physical hike, but also in the emotional and creative sense.
It was a time to separate ourselves from the crazy routines of life, get away and work through our creative ideas and emotions struggles.
Our consistency brought growth.
The lessons learned here; to take the time to step back and allow for refinement is one we will take with us for the rest of our lives.
